​I first used a camera in 1980 on a school trip when I was given one to take a group photo of my classmates and before doing so I took three photographs of the countryside around us. Those three photos were more popular than the group one and in the end all my classmates wanted copies of those. ​

Shortly afterwards I got my first camera, a Kodak Pocket Instamatic with 110mm films. Since I was a child I had always enjoyed drawing, painting and art history. I grew up in Madrid and visited the Prado Mueseum endlessly over the years and made drawings of my first photographs.

In 1990 I met a photography student and I began to capture images with my camera. I began with a Yashica réflex and, some time after, I bought my first reflex camera, a Pentax P30 with a 28-80mm lens. Then I moved on to 50mm and then a second hand Nikon FG. A couple of years later I bought myself a wonderful Nikon FM2 with a 70-300mm lens and a Nikkor 55mm Macro. I took part in some workshops and learned a little about lighting techniques, studio photography and publicity shots and portraits, this last technique in a workshop with the great master Alberto Shommer. Shortly after that I was offered an exhibition in the Granada School of  Art and Artistic Trades and then I did some photography for musician friends, at concerts and rehearsals as well as some record cover designs. 

And that’s how it all began.

After a long period in which circumstances prevented me from continuing with photography, I was able to buy a Canon 550D with a 50mm, a 70-300mm, and a 18-70mm which is what I currently use.

What is photography for me?

It is many different things at once; it is a way of expressing myself, of how I see the world I live in, of trying to transmit something that can be experienced when looking at the images, such as love, solitude, beauty, sadness, rejection, laughter....  all the things we do that make us human: all different and yet all the same.

I hope you enjoy looping at them as much as I enjoy taking them.

Mi primera cámara de fotos cayo en mis manos alla por el año 1980 en una excursión con colegas de instituto, me la dieron para hacer una foto del grupo y antes de hacerla hice tres fotografías del paisaje que nos rodeaba, las fotos del paisaje gustaron mas que la del grupo, y al final todos quisieron copia de las imagenes de los paisajes.
Poco después conseguí mi primera cámara un Kodak Poket instamatic con cartuchos de negativo de 110mm. Desde niño siempre me gusto dibujar, pintar, conocer pinturas y cuadros de grandes pintores, me crié en Madrid, y eso me dio la oportunidad de visitar el Museo del Prado en infinidad de ocasiones a lo largo de muchos años, usaba mis primeras fotos para luego hacer dibujos.
Fue en 1990 a raíz de conocer a una estudiante de fotografía cuando me empezó a enganchar la captura de imágenes con un cámara, empecé con una Yashica reflex, y algún tiempo después comprarme mi  primera reflex propia una Pentax P30 con un objetivo de 28-80mm , después compre un 50mm, luego una Nikon FG de segunda mano y en un par de años me regale un maravillosa Nikon FM2 con una lente 70-300mm y un Nikkor 55mm Macro,  luego algún taller para aprender algo mas: técnicas de iluminación , fotografía publicitaria en estudio, retratos con el Maestro Alberto Shommer, poco después me propusieron montar una exposición en la Escuela de Artes y Oficios Artísticos de Granada, luego salieron algunos trabajos con amigos músicos, en conciertos , ensayos, el diseño de alguna portada de discos de vinilo.
Y así empezó todo.
Tras un largo periodo en el que las circunstancias me alejaron de seguir haciendo fotografías, pude comprar una Canon 550D con 50mm , 70-300mm, y un 18-70mm, que es la que actualmente utilizo en tanto en cuanto pueda mejorar equipo.​

Que es para mi la fotografía?

Son muchas cosas a la vez, es un forma de expresarme, de contar como veo el mundo que me ha tocado vivir, de intentar transmitir algo que se  pueda sentir al mirar una de mis imágenes, amor, soledad, belleza, tristeza, rechazo, risas… todo lo que hace que los seres humanos seamos eso : Seres humanos, todos diferentes y todos iguales.
